Tennessee ABC License Class
ABC Classes Available to the Public

We offer ABC Server Permit classes to our students and to the public.

The State of Tennessee requires all servers and bartenders who serve alcohol must attend an approved responsible alcohol program to receive a State-issued Alcoholic Beverage Commission Server Permit. This permit is good for 5 years to be able to serve alcohol in Tennessee.

Our ABC trainers are approved by the State of Tennessee and upon successful completion of the 5 hour ABC class you will be able to receive your ABC Server Permit from the State of Tennessee.

The TIPS Program, (Training for Intervention ProcedureS), is the global leader in education and training of responsible alcohol service having trained over 4 million participants over the last 35 years in over 50 countries.

We are the only independent TIPS trainer in Tennessee offering classes to the public. Why not choose a program that is recognized worldwide because you never know where life might take you! You will get your certification results right away so you can get your ABC Server Permit ASAP. The best thing about our Responsible Alcohol program is that you get two cards for the price of one. You get your 5 year ABC Server Permit card but you will also receive a TIPS Certification card. Some restaurants and hotels will only hire you if you’ve been through the TIPS Program.

 Additional Instructions

The first step is to create an RLPS account. Once you have the account set up log in and access the system. Click the “Licenses” tab at the top of the page and start your process of filling out your permit. (watching the tutorial will make it a lot easier and it’s not as hard as it looks) As you get started you will click on “Permits” and then click on “Server Permit Applications” and from there follow the instructions. During the process of filling out the application you will be required to upload proper identification.

An easy step for this is to take a picture of your Driver’s License or any appropriate ID and email it from your phone to your computer. Then simply upload the saved picture of your ID to the TABC website. Once you follow the steps to filling out your application then review your application and submit your $20.00 fee to THEC using a credit or debit card. Once your payment is process you will receive an RLPS Record number.

Next simply attend our 5-Hour TIPS/Server Training class. Our class is very enjoyable. Instead of sitting through a program where the instructor reads to you for 5 long hours you’ll actually get to watch interactive videos of intoxicated people and participate in role playing which makes the class fun. After attending our class the TABC will process your results and usually in 2 to 3 days you can log back into your state account and print off your card. It’s highly suggested that you take a pic of your card and keep it on your phone.
